A career opportunity is currently available at Harvey Titanium, A Division of Rolled Alloys, as a member of the Operations team at our El Segundo location in the position of Scheduler.

 

Function:

 Maximize productivity and profitability through Quality oriented material selection.Monitor status of production backlog to prevent overly long lead times.

 

Departmental Responsibilities:

 Continuous improvement of On Time Delivery to customers.Eradicate rework and/or scrap through accurate, quality driven material selection.Monitor workload in production.Oversee Receiving Function and incoming materials for conformity, prioritization and planning. Make modifications to plan when necessary.Regular communication with Warehouse Supervisor on priorities and sales requests.Recommendation of alternative solutions to bottlenecks and backlogs.Strive for continuous improvement in all processes and procedures with view towards efficiency, accuracy, effectiveness and ongoing customer satisfaction.

 

Job Specific Tasks:

 Regular provisioning of materials to orders.Assess and communicate production lead times to Sales.Daily review of current backlog with Warehouse Supervisor.Expediting of critical orders.Regular participation in weekly production meetings.Back up Receiving Inspection.Collaborate with Conversion team on billet and slab applications; both at planning stage and at provisioning stage.Process change orders on all jobs that have been printed and/or released to shopManage all LCS compliance procedures.Manage the storage and rotation of test piece remnants.Review all newly entered orders for compliance to posted lead times.Recommend off-loading of work when lead times surpass industry standards.

 

The successful candidate will:

 Have experience doing follow-up and expediting.Be comfortable and well versed working in a production environment. Be computer and email literate.Have strong inter-personal communication skills.Be detail oriented.Have an active understanding of cause and effect. Be organized and professional, yet approachable.Understands and promote team building with a can-do attitude.

 

The ideal candidate will:

 Possess a quality-oriented background in titanium.Have experience in data collection and SPC principles.Be bi-lingual.
