Infinera is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer:

 

Position Description:
A senior systems engineer (SSE) is the principal escalation point for field service engineers attempting to resolve complex product support issues.  Operating from the TAC located in Sunnyvale, CA, a senior SSE independently coordinates investigative activities in the field, marshals technical resources internally, and communicates practical recommendations to customers in an efficient and timely manner. 

Position Requirements: A minimum of 8 years experience demonstrating success and growth while supporting or testing one or more commercially-successful high-speed optical networking products for the service provider market, combined with excellent technical, communication, teamwork and organizational skills. Superior technical competence in trouble-shooting real-time embedded software, optical and digital hardware, and network management systems. Strong technical background in long-haul or inter-office optical networking technologies, including SONET/SDH, high-speed Ethernet, and TCP/IP. BSCS, BSCE or equivalent educational credentials required. Strong technical background testing or supporting two of the following: object-oriented embedded software using C or C++ NM/OSS software using XML, CORBA, TL-1 or SNMP long-haul optical networking physical layer hardware IP-based network topology, routing and signaling protocols Carrier operations, administration, maintenance and provisioning
