Plexus is currently seeking a Service Department Manager for our Chicago facility.

 

Responsibilities:

? Supervise all department personnel to ensure time is managed efficiently and effectively.

? Support, assist, and train staff, as necessary, to maintain a quality product and satisfy customer demands.

? Recommend staffing needs to accommodate fluctuating service requirements.

? Conduct performance evaluations of subordinates.

? Evaluate, design, and implement departmental processes to ensure unique depot requirements are documented.

? Responsible for the accuracy and reporting of the physical inventory to ensure quantities are sufficient for repair, upgrade, or direct sales.

? Timely resolution of issues and concerns in an objective manner to maintain a confident team oriented environment.

? Define job descriptions and metrics for department personnel so expectations and responsibilities are clearly defined to employees.

? Enhance and measure the value-add of all positions within the department to ensure an efficient and cost-effective service process.

? Act as a liaison between the depot and other EAC departments so the communication and production lines remain open.

? Monitor area to ensure procedures are being followed to maintain consistency and ensure that company and customer standards are met.

? Provide a safe working environment through good housekeeping and safe work procedures for those working in or visiting the department or area.

? Responsible for establishing and maintaining an accurate WIP tracking system so that customer and Plexus records agree and commits can be met.

? Work closely with the appropriate FF Manager to ensure service needs regarding shared resources are communicated and met.

? Additional tasks may be assigned by the Site Manager in order to accommodate varying customer requirements.

 

Requirements:

To be qualified for this position candidates? must have:

 Experience



2-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment required.  Prior experience with finances and developing customer relationships is beneficial.

 Education



A minimum of a High School diploma is required. A Bachelors degree in Business Administration is required in absence of experience.  Employee must also successfully complete all internal courses offered by the company necessary to do the job.

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



Employee must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to organize at the department level, good oral and written communication skills, both internal and external, are necessary.  Must be able to work safely at all times and maintain confidentiality of all company and customer information.  Working knowledge of MacPac, Excel, and Microsoft Word are a plus.
