Shift Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Summary:

Sonoco has an excellent opportunity for a motivated operations professional to join the Pine Bluff, Arkansas facility as a 2nd Shift Supervisor.  The shift would work from 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM, Monday - Friday and working one weekend shift per month.  The successful candidate will have excellent mechanical apptitude to troubleshoot and solve production issues on the manufacturing floor.  This individual must be a hands on supervisor and willing spend a majority of their time on the manufacturing floor.

Primary Responsibilities:


Directs and communicates all expectations to all direct reports for the successful operation of both Spiral and Finishing Departments. 


Executes appropriate performance management on all direct reports. 


Guides, directs and leads both departments in all activities to achieve zero injuries. 


Fosters an environment of continuous improvement, safety, accountability, and customer satisfaction. 


Monitors and maintains accurate production reporting for department. 


Coordinates all production activities for fulfillment of customer satisfaction. 


Coordinates all activities around technology and productivity plans for both departments

Requirements:

High school diploma, plus at least 2 years of supervisory experience in a high speed manufacturing environment. Must be able to work 2nd shift (Monday ? Friday, 4:00 PM ? 2:00 AM) and one weekend per month. Bachelor of science degree is strongly preferred in management, engineering or other related field.
