Position Summary:
This position is responsible for pulling, crating and staging customer orders. The Warehouse Specialist uses the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to load flat decks, vans and LTLs. The incumbent assists in processing customer returns. The incumbent also uses WMS to maintain inventory accuracy, location accuracy and organization of the warehouse.
The Shipper I-III performs daily tasks under the supervision of the Shipping Supervisor or assignee. The Shipper acts independently with some guidance from Lead person, experienced Warehouse Specialist, and/or Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Uses WMS to control all warehouse functions.Loads material into trailers in a neat and organized fashion; able to load product correctly without damaging material.Pulls material from warehouse by reading description, color, and part number from RF and matching accordingly.Completes all necessary training in order to perform all necessary functions utilizing the Warehouse Management System.Transfers product from production staging areas to proper warehouse locations.Stages customers? orders for outbound shipments.Performs warehouse maintenance to include, but not limited to, rack consolidation, clean out of overflow areas, and visual inspection of rack location for accuracy.Operates motorized equipment in a safe and efficient manner.Maintains warehouse cleanliness and organization.Efficient in crate building.Demonstrates safety awareness and practices consistently.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:High school diploma or general education (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Must have previous forklift or other mobile material handling equipment.Must possess basic computer skillsKnowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS) such as bar-coding and barcode scanning.

Physical Demands:Vision: Must be able to read all letters, numbers, and have the ability to distinguish between colors. Language: English - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Must be able to read a tape measure.Hearing: Must have normal hearing functions.Range of Motion: Must use hands to finger, handle or feel: and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.Lifting Capacity: Ability to move 100 lbs. Sitting/Standing: Intermittent sitting/standing for 8-12 hours.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
