Shipping and Receiving Clerk

We are currently recruiting for a Materials/Sample Handling Clerk for a Dayton area client.? The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in a materials handling/shipping & receiving environment with the following Hazardous Materials Certifications: DOT, IATA? (domestic and international air).? Applicants must be able to work with varying software programs such as email, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases including Lotus Notes. You must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and be self-motivated and detail-oriented.?

This is a part time with potential for full time and/or overtime.? Primary hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 12:00pm.?? You will receive direction from Shipping & Receiving Supervisor and Master Scheduler. This contract position has an indefinite duration.? Additional preferred skills include: IMO/IMGD certification (ocean transportation regulations), Forklift experience/training and work experience in an ISO, or other quality system, environment.

Responsibilities:? Prepare and ship bottled product samples to the appropriate customer following regulatory transportation guidelines and requirements designated for domestic ground and domestic and international air shipments.? Person must determine the proper type of packaging to use for each product (i.e. hazardous vs. non-hazardous) as well as complete appropriate shipping paperwork for each sample.? Maintain existing sample database (Lotus Notes based) to keep track of sample requests and sample shipments.? May assist with other shipping and receiving duties as time allows.
