Leading Manufacturing warehouse located in Lakeland, FL is seeking an experienced Plant Manager with a minimum of 5 years experience to join our organization. This position under minimal supervision is responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of activities relating to all manufacturing processes within the facility ensuring that:

1.  All budgetary requirements are met.

2.  All Manufacturing/Plant Metrics goals are met or exceeded.

3.  All products without exception are being manufactured within established engineering and quality specifications.

 

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Manage, direct and organize the workforce in order to maintain high productivity and quality levels in accordance with the production schedule. Responsible to make decisions as they relate to production issues or concerns while working within established guidelines. Maintain at all times the highest level of business ethics. Maintain at all times the highest level of employee morale. Ensures standards of productivity, safety and accuracy are met. Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met. Coordinated activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment. Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with the hourly workforce to discuss items such as, but not limited to, production, safety, housekeeping, quality, attendance and process and procedural changes. Manage and monitor maintenance costs, and consumable costs. Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures and regulations, to include monthly safety committee meeting are conducted, as well as, plant safety audits. Ensure that all issues regarding the hourly workforce are addressed in a timely manner.  These issues include but are not limited to, job expectations, training, performance evaluations, discipline and the proper and timely documentation thereof.

Experienced in the establishment, tracking and execution of functional goals and identification of the critical operating tasks that will ensure success. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

 

 

Key Qualifications/Education:Minimum of a bachelor?s degree Minimum of  5 years of related experience within a fast paced manufacturing environment Good organizational and time management skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Proven track record of establishing and executing manufacturing strategies while reducing costs. Proven ability in supporting multiple projects simultaneously and working in a fast-paced, ever changing environment. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
