Cooper Power Systems is seeking a Six Sigma Black Belt-Engineering Process and Systems for their Waukesha WI (Milwaukee, WI Area) manufacturing plant location.

Responsibilities

The Six Sigma Black Belt shall;Provide cross-functional leadership of engineering workflow re-designs to dramatically improve product quality and reduce custom products development cycle time as a part of Cooper?s transactional activities to support the cost reduction and customer service objectives of the company.Be accountable for driving projects which will deliver 50% improvement in customer satisfaction and cycle timeResponsible for institutionalization of the continuous improvementDevelop training materials for Six Sigma processes and principalsProvide education to division employees on the principals and techniques of Six SigmaManage Six Sigma certification programsManage Six Sigma projects to facilitate setting priorities, developing goals and designing objectives related to corporate goals and objectivesAssist in identifying and prioritizing opportunities to improve productivity throughout the business

Qualifications B.S. in Engineering, Management or Technology MS or MBA preferredA minimum of 5 years in engineering with demonstrated process improvement experience.Excellent Project Management skills and experienceAbility to accurately estimate project costs, spending and benefitsHave experience developing effective implementation plans which have resulted in projects that were completed within budget, on schedule and meeting their own intentHave current certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt is a plus.Successful completion and certification of the 5 week Lean Six Sigma training program will be requiredExperience in management of salaried and hourly employees is a plus
