Sr. Hardware Engineer

This position is responsible for taking a design from the initial MRD phase to the final product stage.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Write the product spec

Research and pick the components to be used

Define HW block diagram

Guide PCB layout with special attention to high speed signals

Choose FPGA components based on pin count, logic cell counts, and technology

Hardware/Software integration

Design validation

 

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

Bachelors degree plus 4 years experience or Masters degree plus 2 years experience in board design and verification required. Less experienced candidates with exemplary academic performance are also encouraged to apply.

 

Knowledge/Skills:

OrCAD or similar schematic capture tool.

Networking protocols, Ethernet, Fiber channel, T1, T3

Micro-Controller, Flash memory, FPGA, networking devices

PCB design schematic capture, layout, and hands-on debug of digital and analog circuits, with emphasis on noise control, signal integrity and power issues

FPGA code development in Verilog for Xilinx and Altera

Good standard of written and spoken English

PCB design and debug experience working with analog and digital circuits
