Sr Reliability Engineer - (05-06-02)

Key Job Elements:

- Application of statistics to problem solving;
- Develop process maps for current processes and development improvements for efficiency gains;
- Assist in development of common data documentation and failure resolution system;
- Work with product design engineers to establish reliability plans for new products and product improvements;
- Work with Product design engineers to develop and implement reliability verification tests;
- Support development and deployment of accelerated testing techniques for product development;
- Work with Field service and customer care for rapid resolution of field problems;
- Analyze field failures to establish trends determine root cause of failure and corrective action;
- Assist in development of test data collection and analysis system and integrate into the CLCA process;
- Develop and present reliability analyses to program management;
- Perform reliability allocations and predictions on new product development programs;
- Access reliability growth test data and perform reliability prediction for mature product;
- Develop reliability mathematical models;
- Adaptability and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications Required:

- BSIE, BSME, BSAgE, or BSEE;
- Strong statistical training and demonstrated application;
- Knowledge and expertise in standard Microsoft applications;
- Microsoft and/or Web based programming capability;
- Mathematical modeling;
- Expertise with Microsoft desktop applications;
- Excellent organizational and communication skills;
- High level of analytical ability with complex problems;
- Excellent interpersonal skills including leading and working in a cross-functional team environment;
- Process flow charting knowledge and experience.

Qualifications Preferred:

- Doe, Shainin, Six Sigma, or Taguchi experience;
- Experience with Failure Modes and Effects Analysis;
- Experience with Weibull analyses;
- Knowledge and application experience with Reliability Growth Testing;
- Demonstrated skills in teaching and coaching;
- Demonstrated ability to the "Soft Skills", e.g., facilitation;
- Closed Loop Corrective Action System for failure analysis and corrective action;
- Fault Tree Analysis;
- Knowledge of test and validation planning & execution.
