Sr Test Technician

QUALIFICATIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

REQUIREMENTS:
Participate in the planning, and lead in the execution of, accelerated durability tests and data acquisition activities.
This will include the following:
? Coordination with all Engineering groups as related to discovery, ordering and tracking of production and prototype parts needed for testing.
? Installation of parts and instrumentation, in the lab and in the field, on test vehicles.
? Run the simulation software and hardware of the shaker lab.
? Report on incidents during testing, in detail, by both written and oral methods including, photos, tables and charts, incident summaries, test updates, and final test reports.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
An Associates degree in Applied Science related to automotive/heavy truck and 3-5 years of testing experience is required. Experience with Windows and MS Office is required. Strong leadership skills are required. A thorough understanding of the operation and application of common lab instrumentation and systems for data collection (especially the Somat e-Daq) is required. Experience and knowledge of FTL engineering documentation systems and Test Portal is also required. Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems is preferred. CDL is preferred.
