Staff Logistician I

Job Description:
This work will be performed in a Government-furnished facility aboard Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
- The Assistant Store Manager will be responsible for coordinating daily office and warehouse-wide efforts involving equipment, material, supplies, supervision, administration, labor, transportation, and qualified personnel to accomplish the total work effort for the provision of a contractor operated automotive parts store.
- This position requires a familiarity with common motor transportation parts stocked in support of Marine corps Base customers; additionally, this billet will serve in the absence of the Store Manager as the projects Technical Manager; accordingly, coordination with both the prime contractors Project/Program Manager and the Governments Project Officer/Contracting Officers Representative is required.
- Supply support skills (stockage, replenishment, receipt and issue, warehousing {to include security, inventory,and care-in-storage}, etc. is required, as well as a proactive customer service attitude.
- Experience with methodologies and techniques to gather, organize, document and track functional and technical requirements are highly desired.
- Work will occur under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
- A strong Marine Corps background to anticipate/manage customer expectations in an environment that is expected to be highly dynamic due to operational tempo demands is required
- Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
