Supervisor, Contract Manufacturing Programs

Position Summary

This position is responsible for the conception and implementation of material programs directly associated with Zebra?s contract manufacturing programs and initiatives. This position will muster internal and external resources to ensure material on-time delivery, supplier quality, and cost reductions are achieved on an annualized basis. This position will also be responsible for establishing, documenting, and communicating, business processes related to the material procurement and contract manufacturing activity overall.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1.  Responsible for meeting or exceeding corporate metrics associated with CM program performance (supplier on-time delivery, cost reductions, supplier quality, inventory turns, inbound freight, etc.)

2.  Responsible for supervising and ensuring the performance of the Buyers assigned.

3.  Lead contract manufacturing programs to include the assembly and muster of cross functional working groups to meet the general objectives of the company?s CM programs.

4.  Responsible for establishing, documenting, and communicating, business processes related to contract manufacturing management activities.

5.  Develop and implement program plans to ensure successful achievement of business objectives in the areas of inventory management and supplier lead-time reduction.

6.  Conduct periodic supplier performance reviews to include analysis and recommendations on gathered data to Global Commodities and associated working groups.

7.  Acts as escalation point for teams assigned and interfaces with suppliers for the purpose of sustaining positive and effective business relationships.

8.  Responsible for ensuring that accurate and complete data is maintained within Zebra?s MRP system at all times.

9.  Analyze inventory reports and report on material obsolescence.

10. Will be the primary interface between New Product Introduction, Global Commodities, and Sustaining Purchasing in regard to Contract Manufacturing programs and ensuring smooth handoffs through the product development process.

11. Responsible for ensuring compliance to the Delegation of Authority and related corporate governance guidelines such as the Code of Business Conduct.

12. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

?  BA/BS Degree or equivalent combination of academic and professional experience

?  Program Management certification preferred, but not required

?  Minimum 10 years progressive experience in contract manufacturing, purchasing, or commodity management roles

?  Minimum 5 or more years managing electro-mechanical component purchasing teams

?  Minimum 3 years of progressive experience managing contract manufacturing programs and/or similar material programs

?  Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to meet program goals

?  Strong computer skills (MS Office, Visio, MRP software, MS Project, and other related software)
