Supplier Quality Supervisor
Job Summary:
Supervises the supplier quality activities including receiving inspection, inspection instructions, supplier ECNs, supplier Initial Inspection Sample Reports (ISIRs), Quality Review Board (QAB) activities and supplier evaluations. Insures supplier related procedures are current and effective and develops new procedures as required. Performs all supplier tasks ask required to support the supplier quality activities.
Essential Functions:
1. Supervise daily activities of supplier quality personnel
2. Assures continual conformance to all pertinent Quality Systems procedures.
3. Supervises the inspection, testing and evaluation of all supplier purchased products and services. Exercises independent judgment to accept or reject product and interpret drawings. Participates in disposition of all purchased materials found to be deficient.
4. Accountable for nonconforming product containment in purchased goods inventory.
5. Supervises the quality participation in the Quality Review and Corrective Action Boards for purchased product and supplier surveillance activities.
6. Performs monthly and quarterly supplier evaluations and reports the results to procurement.
7. Other tasks as required.
Qualifications:
? Bachelor?s degree or AA degree in quality or related fields preferred.
? Minimum of 6 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment with 4 years of receiving inspection experience and/or irst article inspections or other technical inspection functions. Related experience in warehouse and inventory procedures may be substituted for up to one year of receiving inspection experience.
? Technical proficiency in use of dimensional inspection tools such as calipers, gauges and surface plate is required.
? Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate in a group setting with personnel from all levels within the company
? Ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written form.
? Ability to use a personal computer with knowledge of various software programs. Required program knowledge includes MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
? Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
