Position Summary: 

This position will be responsible for the procurement of all raw materials for a specific product line.  This person must have the ability to establish relationships with vendors and to secure purchases of needed materials on a timely basis.  Position also requires production scheduling and implementation of production plan.  Another important aspect of this position is to maintain product quality while minimizing production cost.  Position reports to Department Manager.

 

Requirements:Associates Degree required; prefer manufacturing or industrial engineering background Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment helpfulExcellent communication skillsMust have the ability to lead and direct a manufacturing teamStrong analytical and leadership skills requiredAdaptable to a fast paced and changing environmentThe ability to interact with upper management as well as supervisors and manufacturing associatesIndividual needs to be a self-starter who has the ability to develop and implement new strategies
