Supply Scheduler

DSM NeoResins develops, manufactures and markets specialty resins.  These products are used in a variety of applications including adhesives, paints, flexo and gravure printing inks and lacquers, across a wide range of industrial and household uses, from packaging products to flexible flooring materials. 

 

The Supply Scheduler reports to the Regional Buyer located in Wilmington, MA and is responsible for the Wilmington, MA and Frankfort, IN sites.  Incumbent will arrange the smooth supply of defined raw materials, packaging materials, engineering, R&D, site equipment and supplies.  Position integrates the R&D, Applications, Engineering, Planning and Manufacturing functions with all approved direct and indirect goods suppliers external to the business.  Also responsible for all aspects of the supply process including requisition conversion, OTIF analysis and corrective action, supplier rating, indirect goods management, procurement auditing, SAP data integrity and maintenance. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

1.  Responsible for conducting a daily safety and housekeeping review of his/her area. Generates ZIP reports when identifying a definite or possible safety issue. Work with all suppliers on continuous improvement regarding NeoResins safety principles and requirements.

 

2.  Ensure SAP is maintained at a high level of data integrity. Control all aspects of the requisitioning process including accuracy, process all return goods requests and ensure the business gets the best cost and service combination available. Establish strong operational relationships with key contacts at all approved suppliers.

 

3.  Assist Purchasing and Supply group to adhere to all documented procedures related to ISO9000 and Class ?A? principles.  Review critical procedures and standard operating procedures on a regular basis for accuracy. Provide guidance and training to all external suppliers regarding our requirements and continuous improvement. Issue action request reports to raw material suppliers that experience a delivery non-conformance.

 

4.  Issue Monthly and quarterly detail forecasts to all raw material suppliers.  Manage the ordering process utilizing automated requisition conversion or through delivery schedules to ensure continuity of supply. Communicate with detail planners, master production scheduler, and plant personnel any unforeseen delivery issues or delays.

 

5.  Assist Customer Service in monitoring of purchase for resale items entering from outside the country.  Manage inquiries on orders to assure we meet the customer?s expectations.

 

6.  Supervise all operational aspects of ordering indirect goods and services for the Wilmington site.  Assist Frankfort site in key indirect goods procurement operations.  Maintain supplier base to maximize purchasing power, improve service and eliminate non-value added work.

 

Position requires minimum of a High School Diploma and 2-3 years experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment.  MRP/ERP experience - SAP desired; project management skills, proficiency in Excel and good communication skills are a must.  Core competencies are concern for impact, results orientation, self-development, initiative, problem solving.  Salary range $40,000 - $45,000+.
