Support Shop Supervisor

We currently seek a Support Shop Supervisor to join our University Park, Illinois team.

In this position, you will direct and assign personnel and schedules to assure that daily assignments are achieved in a proficient, high quality manner. Responsible for the support shop and paint shop schedules and ensures availability of materials and supplies to meet production priorities. Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement of inventory control, automation of equipment and quality of production. Coordinate the training of personnel to align with Corporate, Divisional and Business Unit policies.

 

The successful candidate will have the following:

 

?  Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Engineering or Chemistry.  APICS/MPR training or certificate preferred

 

? Three to five years supervisory experience of paint shop, machine shop or related field.

 

? Two to three years working knowledge in computerized of material requirement planning.

 

? Demonstrates ?hands-on? knowledge of liquid and powder coat paint, degreasing and chemical application processes.

 

? Excellent communication skills, works well with people, maintains a positive safe work environment and be able to adapt to a fast past changing production environment.
