Team Leader-3rd Shift
PERMANENT POSITION. HIRNG IMMEDIATELY. JOB LOCATION: ORANGE COUNTY PAY:$15.00-$18.00/HR (PLUS, $1.00/HR FOR SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL). THIS IS A 3RD SHIFT POSITION M-F (WITH OVER TIME AS NEEDED). HOURS WILL WILL BE: 10:00PM - 6:30AM.
JOB TITLE: TEAM LEADER
POSITION INFO:
Deliver production team plans towards safety, quality, cost and delivery, Direct and train hourly employees in set-up, operation of machinery, manufacturing processes, inspection methods, quality requirements, and efficient production of high pressure cylinders in a safe work environment.
Main Activities:
The main activities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
-Meet the production schedules within scheduled requirements.
-Direct and motivate hourly employees. Review of processes, procedures, and productivity at all operations.
-Maintain safe work environment by enforcing current safety procedures, monitoring operations to develop new safety procedures and working in close cooperation with safety committee.
-Responsible for identifying, developing and introducing improvements utilizing Team techniques with a goal of managing a highly effective work Team.
-Leadership of production Team to achieve the benefit of the company's production system required manufacturing safety, quality, quantities, costs and schedules.
-Supervise production employee training to ensure all employees are properly trained in regard to proper operation of machinery and equipment, performance of manufacturing and inspection processes, safety and quality requirements of each operation. Counsel employees on regular basis about work and personal problems.
-Leadership of production Team in pursuit of improvements in safety control, work allocation, visual management, standard operating procedures, equipment control, continuous improvement, and quality control.
-Monitor and maintain minimum (100%) efficiency standards for all machine operators and inspectors using daily machine utilization reports and direct floor observations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization?s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:
A.A. Degree desirable but not essential; five years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. High school or equivalent required.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to sub-contractors and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to use shop mathematics including charts, tables, various types of measuring instruments (calculators, pie tape, weigh scales, ultrasonic gage, hardness tester, calipers, micrometer, tensiometer.)
Other Skills:
Capable of handling multiple objectives in a high volume production setting. Computer literate and print reading desirable.
Reasoning Ability:
Requires the use of judgment to plan and make decisions as to sequence of operations, processes and set-ups within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardize situations.
