Technical Manager - International Packaging

? Actively manage new packaging development projects and initial commercialization to deliver PepsiCo International NCB Packaging Innovation Strategy
? Cross-Functional Project Leadership
? Packaging Expertise (lab scale to full production)
? Planning & Communication Skills.
? Maintain open communication and build strong relationships with multiple BU?s throughout the world
? Provide Subject Matter Expertise in support of new Package Development and Commercialization
? Develop deep understanding of strategic packages, products and processes to support development of new packaging platforms, and contribute to trouble shooting and problem solving
? Initiate and perform economic and technical feasibility studies on new packaging platforms delivered through ideation
? Lead development and optimization of packaging specifications for all PI packaging formats
? Provide auditing services to field (Concentrate, Bottling, Co-Packer)
? Provide Technical Support for Field Issue Resolution
? Create development and initial commercialization timelines for SC projects
? Build strong relationships with internal and external partners

Required:
- BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Plastics Engineering with 10 plus years experience in related consumer goods field. ?
- Master in Business or Engineering a plus.

Desired:
- Experience with hot fill, cold fill, retort and aseptic packaging
- Experience with concentrate and bottling manufacturing /operations
- Experience with both flexible and rigid packaging a plus
- Field Experience a plus



Other Job Requirements:
- This position will require flexibility in working hours to conduct conference calls and set-up and complete research experiments, field trials, audits or equipment startups that may extend past typical working hours.
- Occasional weekend travel is normal due to time required to travel to certain regions
- Pre-dominantly International Travel, however some domestic travel will be required
- Total travel estimated at 30-40%.
