Job Description: GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: (Job's primary purpose or contribution to the department or organization.)
Manages all aspects of the company's business relationship with designated customers ensuring goals or objectives of a program are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TYPICAL FOR MOST POSITIONS:
1.Primary contact for negotiations with customer on all contracts, pricing and other business items
2. Develops, evaluates, and improves engineering and manufacturing processes.
3.Responsible for customer satisfaction and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) collection and reviews and corrective actions.
4. Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of program, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of customer focus team personnel.
Plans, directs and coordinates manufacturing or building of prototype product or system.
5. Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
6.Reviews status reports prepared by team personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required
7. Determines and/or coordinates with customers on product specifications and design changes, and responds to customers' request.
8. Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
9.Prepares program reports and presentations for management, client or others.
10. Participates in Profit and Loss (P&L) analysis, responsible for tracking relevant metrics and drive action items based on results
11.Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
12.Travel as required.

Education / Experience
Typically requires a Bachelor of Science degree in related field or equivalent experience. Typically requires 4 years of experience in test engineering in the high technology electronics industry.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Demonstrates advanced functional and technical skills and basic process skills. Demonstrates advanced/thorough knowledge of the function and Solectron business. Typically requires skill and troubleshooting, and diagnostics, and overview of the entire test process and the ability to train others. Use of the following tools may be required: Electronic Assembly: color code, component, schematics. May require various PCB and Systems operations. Testing: oscilloscope, cable and harness testing, trouble shooting, component testing, logic analyzer. Inspection: bare board, systems, components, cable and harness, microscope, measuring tools. Mechanical & Electrical Tools: taps and dies, alignment tools, measuring tools. Office skills: telephones, data entry, office software to include, word processing, spreadsheet and presentation package.
