 About the Position 

Title:  Technical Publication Coordinator

Reports to:  Service Manager 

Location: Wilmington, NC

Work Eligibility:  Must be authorized to work in the United States

Relocation:  N/A

 

Position Description

 

This position is responsible for researching, developing, and writing technical manuals and other documentation to support hydraulic cranes and boom trucks.

 Minimum Required Qualifications

 

Level of education required:  Undergraduate degree preferred

 

Experience Level: 5 years of experience; 7-10 years of experience if no college degree

 

Skills:

?  Experience in Framemaker, Photoshop, and Acrobat software

?  Experience in technical writing

?  Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

?  Experience with basic CAD software functions

?  Comfortable working in office as well as in, under and around heavy equipment.

?  Strong orientation toward quality and detail

?  Good communication skills

 

Job Responsibilities

 

?  Understand and communicate information regarding parts and operations of a truck mounted boom

?  Create and maintain technical documentation to support boom truck product line

?  Assist with technical documentation for hydraulic crane product line

?  Supply publisher with finished files for publication through electronic file transfer

?  Write product support bulletins

?  Assign and maintain service part information

Physical Requirements of the Job

 Ability to work in an office environment with some exposure to a manufacturing facility.Environmental Working ConditionsEmployee will be exposed to some or all of the following working conditions:  inside, outside, heat and cold, noise and atmospheric conditions.
