Technical Services Representative

 

Scully Signal Company is a leading engineering and manufacturing firm of safety control systems for the fueling, storage and transport of petroleum products worldwide. Scully is currently seeking a Technical Service Representative.


 

Responsibilities:

 Provide live telephone support for customers in troubleshooting and repairing electronics systems used on vehicles and petroleum terminals.Provide return material authorizations (RMA' s) for electronics equipment in need of repair.Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair returned electronics equipment sent in for repair.Process all paperwork related to telephone support and repairs.Travel to customer sites for field service of vehicle and terminal electronics equipment (25% travel). Some field service work is performed in hazardous areas.Provide customer training at remote sites as needed.Provide feedback to Engineering and Quality Assurance regarding performance of equipment.Provide after-hours telephone support on a rotating schedule with other Technical Services Representatives.

 

Requirements:

 Associates in electronics or equivalent experience or training.2 + years experience in a technical support or field service position.Ability to carry out multiple tasks simultaneously and make decisions in real time.Excellent customer relations and communications skills.Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.Ability to work outdoors in sometimes adverse conditions, including the ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs., and the ability to climb ladders and work from heights above 10 feet.Ability to read and interpret schematics, block diagrams and bills of materials.Ability to troubleshoot printed circuit boards to component level.Ability to follow written procedures and interpret them as needed.Experience with Oracle database from a user level is helpful.Willingness for occasional travel in the US and Canada, including air travel.Valid driver's license.
