Technician 1 (Optimization and Control)

CITY: Minden STATE: Nevada COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
* Position is responsible for testing production boards using multiple test platforms and troubleshooting failures to the component level.
* Focuses on testing electronic circuit boards.
* Focuses on productivity, safety, quality and cost improvements.
* Executes functional tests and troubleshoots to component level.
* Acts independently on projects and special test department tasks using technical abilities.
* Develops skills to become a technology resources for the test unit and other production areas, as directed.
* Works individually and on teams to improve various areas of the department.
* Learns and uses Six Sigma methodologies to enhance the quality and efficiency of production, test, and product.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Two-year electronics technology degree or two-year degree in a related field.
* Proficiency in basic circuit analysis: analog, digital and microprocessor.
* Understanding of basic measurement methods and calculation of single stage gains and tolerances.
* Ability to operate soldering iron, various hand tools, oscilloscope, personal computer, test station, DMM, frequency counter.
* Ability to operate MS DOS, MS Windows, various computer applications as needed, MS Office 2000 programs, test software.
