MISSION SUMMARY
The Test Engineer will be a part of the ongoing day-to-day final test process. In this position you will be responsible for all electrical project specific UPS final tests and factory acceptance tests according to test reports and UL & IEC standards. Excellent communication skills and a high degree of flexibility are essential for this position. KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES DAILY WORK Project specific transition meetings with our project engineers in US and Switzerland. Preparation of hard copy test documentation from electronic files. Mechanical check of all GUTOR equipment. High voltage and insulation tests. Calibration, electrical standard and special test with multi-meters, power-analyzers, scope meters and computer measurement equipment. Preparation of order specific test documentation. Factory acceptance test including customer trainings. Quality checks, failure reports and working hour reports will close the test process. STRATEGIC WORK Interfacing with engineering, quality and other departments as required improving ongoing process issues. Calibration control of measurement instruments and asset management. Maintenance and procurement of test equipment and measurement instruments. Assisting in the development and documentation of test guides, procedures and safety manuals. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE BSEE with concentration in Power Electrical Engineering or alternatively a technical Diploma or at least two years of technical college with 8 years of relevant work experience. Good windows and MS-office computer skills. Self-motivated individual with a high level of initiative and energy in recognizing and solving problems. Excellent social competences, along with effective oral and written communication skills. Must be able to work with a minimum of direct supervision. Salary and title will be commensurate with skills and experience. Domestic and international travel as needed....
