Position Title: Test Engineer II

 

Function: Engineering R&D

 

Reports to: Director, Test Engineering

 

Responsibilities to Include: Reduce and present gathered dataHands on in the lab exercising mechanical ability in structures, hydraulics/pneumatics and working with dynometers (electric and gas powered motors and drive trains)Working with LabView

 

Education: B.S EngineeringMechanical, Engineering Mechanics, and Industrial majors

 

Position Requirements: 2-3 years applicable work experience in a Product Engineering, Testing, or R&D groupMust have hands-on experience in some aspect of product design, development, or testingMust be familiar with gated design process, DFMEA's and DVP&R'sMust have a strong statistical reliability background using Weibull & Bayes' theorem to determine economical testingExperience in the operation of a MTS system, SoMat, MicroMeasurements  and gas and electric dynos would be desiredMechanical or fabrication skillsProficient in the use of PC computers and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel a mustPrinciples of hydraulics & pneumaticsGood written & oral communication skillsSelf-starter and self-motivated a mustWorking knowledge of Ice-Flow and LabviewSimple fabrication skills (welding, cutting, bending, etc.)Working knowledge of simple electronic transducer interfacingAutomation, electronic circuits, stresscoating, material analysis, dynamics, etcDynamometer experience both chassis, eddy-current and IC engine
