SR Production Test Engineer - SATCOM

Provide a variety of technical and leader duties related to CCA/Module/Sub-System/System Integration and Test of Satellite RF Data Link Communications products associated to the FAB-T Product line family. Responsible for Product Line transition from Development to production, subsystem to system-level performance validation, problem isolation, hardware-software debug, design verification, environmental qualification tests and occasional off site support when required. Lead, develop, and support system and lower level test engineering functions in a high performance test environment

Requirements: BSEE/EET required and 4+ years related work experience. Required technical skills include a solid understanding of communication theory, with a working knowledge of digital design, RF design, mechanical design, network design, software development and its applied use in testing of RF and mixed signal products related to satellite communication systems. Design experience is a plus, as is experience in one or more of the following areas: RF and it's applications in the Ka Band, high-rate communication systems, MIL-STAR satellite communication systems, spread spectrum systems and communication networks. Must be able to interact, understand and coordinate test activities with customers, suppliers, and design-software engineering functions.

Experience with Microsoft Office applications and computer network environments are a very strong plus. Must be able to work from oral and written instructions, be dependable, positive, assertive, a team player, and have a strong desire to succeed. Must have great communications skills to expeditiously lead and coordinate efforts through the all phases of the manufacturing and engineering processes while contributing in a high performance team environment to meet customer needs. Must be able to climb ladders, perform work on elevated platforms and lift up to 40lbs. Must be willing to work overtime - weekends, holidays, and second shift as required to meet hardware delivery goals. Must be capable of acquiring and maintaining a US Secret level clearance.
