Textile Factory Production Manager

Manufacturer of Body Armor for the US Military is looking for experienced Manufacturing Manager to manage the operation of its body armor plant.  Responsibilities include the day to day operations of a factory of 60-100 employees (supervisors, sewing and cutting, shipping and receiving personnel) Successful candidate will be solely responsible for meeting all profit and production goals. Additionally, candidate will perform marketing duties to gain new business in the US DOD textile market....Location is the Johnstown area (Western Pa). A BS Degree in Apparel management or a related field. An MBA in Marketing or Finance preferred....Minimum of five (5) years experience as manager of a textile operation or related manufacturing operation.....Minimum of five (5) years experience in all aspects of manufacturing operations including: pre-production sampling, stock approvals, pricing, quality control, sourcing, inventory management and lean manufacturing processes....Knowledge of budgeting, cost-control systems and standardized manufacturing procedures.....Expertise in personnel management, employee training, personnel problem investigation and resolution....Strong interpersonal, communicative, and supervisory skills...Knowledge of product/project scheduling, track record of meeting challenging production schedules and costs goals....Knowledge of pattern making and automated cutting and marker development....Strong Leadership qualities in helping teams meet challenging production goals....Knowledge and experience in quality control methods, Total Quality Management principles, and Six Sigma statistical analysis and procedures.
