Fast pace Machine Shop looking for individual with excellent multi-tasking abilities and knowledge of procurement and inventory of machine tools.

 

This individual will be responsible for setting up KanBan arrangements, organizing of  tool crib and inventory management of all tools. 

 

Provide direct support to the machine shop by managing the tool distribution center (crib). Duties include but are not limited to management of the ordering of tools and supplies. Candidate must be able to analyze tool usage and supply trends to maximize tool availability while controlling costs. Looking for an organized, process oriented person who can quickly understand the current process and make improvements to streamline , eliminate stock outs and reduce costs.  Able to negotiate with outside tool vendors in a professional manner to ensure the best pricing and service.


Experience working in a manufacturing and storeroom environment is a plus. Candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to maintain a strong sense of customer focus, be results oriented and have a strong bias for action. Must have strong skills with MS Office products: Word, Excel.  Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum of 25 pounds.

 

Position is fulltime, M-F.
