Tooling Technician I - N2

As our Tooling Technician I (Night 2 Shift), you'll be responsible for the set-up, maintenance, cleaning and inventory of complex tooling, such as matched metal and steel rule dies, molds for thermoforming, extrusion and blow mold processes. You'll maintain an inventory of their replacement parts and material, assuring tooling is in safe working condition and that it is production ready according to the production specifications. You'll also assist Engineers in troubleshooting, repairing and resolving tooling issues to reduce downtime and scrap. In addition, you'll be responsible for developing procedures and training for the cleaning, care and reassembly of production tooling.



Requirements for the position include:
High School diploma or GED
2 years' manufacturing experience
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Ability to stoop, bend, crouch, push, grasp, reach and the ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs
Knowledge of the use of basic hand power tools and shop equipment
Intermediate level proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook
Some college coursework/experience working with engineering drawings and/or blueprints is desired
Experience working with extrusion and thermoforming tooling is a plus
Experience working with outside vendors a plus
Experience with SAP is a plus
Familiarity with manufcturing production tooling is a plus
Ability to work Friday through Sunday and every other Monday 5:30 pm to 5:30 am
