Toyota Production System, World Class Manufacturing Regional Consultant/Champion

This is an exciting, newly created position to coach and mentor 5-6 manufacturing plants as they undertake implementation of World Class Manufacturing methodologies such as Focused Improvement, Autonomous Maintenance, Professional Maintenance, Early Equipment Management, etc. in an equipment-intensive, continuous-line manufacturing process.  This transition is being driven from the top down and is being supported with professional training.  This is a high-visibility role reporting to North American headquarters and one that offers opportunity for career advancement in a rapidly growing global corporation with over 100 plants in 50 countries.

 

* Provide leadership and support to plants to ensure World Class Manufacturing is implemented at a rapid pace.

* Provide support and advice to plant management teams to help them identify, analyze and solve operations problems

* Share WCM best practices between plants

* Coordinate, develop, review and conduct training for employees in WCM

* Develop a partnering relationship with plant teams

* Track Key Performance Indicators and communicate progress

* Travel 60-70% from a Seattle, WA plant base to plants in the western region of North America

Requirements:

* A 4-yr technical degree

* Solid experience in manufacturing, process engineering or technical project development

* Subject matter expertise and experience in various principles and practices of World Class Manufacturing/Toyota Production System/Lean with a focus on TPM/Autonomous Maintenance

* 2-4 years multi-plant responsibility in a plant support function experienced in travel (consulting in WCM would be ideal)

* Excellent Communication, Interpersonal and Change-Leadership skills

* Ability to inspire others to a common vision
