Transportation/Logistics Supervisor

Job Description

Coordinate related transportation activities including the constant review of the efficient routing of all trips to maintain maximum quality of service to customers.

Coordinate all customer Orderwell schedules and the effective creation and communication of all customer holiday schedules.

Act as the single point of contact for all customer service questions and information dealing with customer orders, order transmission schedules, customer delivery times.

Assist with inbound freight process.

Coordinate all activities involving the flow of routing information transferred to the 3rd party transportation provider, addressing any IT systems requirements.

Coordinate transportation information required to maintain compliance with all SOX guidelines.

Support warehouse management with any requested information to project volumes, improve warehouse crewing or availability or timely flow of work to the warehouse to improve quality of service to their customers.

 

Experience:

-  Four-year degree or equivalent preferred

-  Five (5) years of experience in a distribution/customer-oriented environment are essential

-  Display high detail accuracy, high-level of motivation and stress tolerance in a time-critical environment

-  Work well under pressure, be prompt, accurate, well organized and have flexibility to handle routine and non-routine matters

-  Excellent communication, human relations, interpersonal skills

-  Experience with computerized systems, as well as Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access)
