Job Description

Major Responsibilities:

This is a 12-15 month project for the 28 North stockpile reclamation project. Work to be performed by individuals with skills to operate multiple pieces of heavy duty mining equipment and perform minor maintenance as necessary for the 28 reclamation project. Essential job functions include but are not limited to:

1. Skilled worker who works as a team member in a mine environment with little or no supervision and performs quality work in a safe and professional manner.
2. Will perform minor maintenance on several pieces of equipment as necessary.
3. Individual will be required to train other employees in the operation of heavy duty mining equipment.
4. Will be required to help maintenance personnel with minor repairs on equipment as necessary.
5. Work will consist of 12-hour shifts, 24-7.

Minimum Requirements:
* Certified (5000-23) to operate a 240 Dresser haul truck.
* Certified to operate a haul truck, and capable of training other team members.
* Know the process of mine operation functions.
* Excellent safety and attendance record.
* Safety must be a core value.
* Knowledge of mine operation processes and procedures.
* Be eligible for transfer per the Guiding Principles.
* Must posses a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified (5000-23) on any other heavy duty mining equipment.
- Qualifications on other earthmoving equipment.
- Past experience in training other employees in the operation of heavy-duty mining equipment.
- Experience in helping maintenance personnel with minor repairs on equipment as necessary.

Criteria/Conditions(specific background and skills):
* Work is generally in a mine or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles.
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see.
* Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 30 pounds) during the course of the workday.
* Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
