Utility Worker/Haulage

Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

o Development of mining excavation
o Operation of mining equipment at a basic level including: 1) Long Hole Drills, Bolters, Face Jumbos, LHDs, Haul Trucks, Utility Vehicles and Concrete Transports. Elementary duties including but not limited to: 2) manual tasks such as shoveling, digging, loading and housekeeping.
o Use of Explosives as necessary or required.
o Ensure that all activities are consistent with company policy, Mine Safety Heath Administration environmental regulations and that a safe working environment exists.
o Work with available resources to continuously improve efficiencies and procedures.
o This position will work a 10/12hour rotating shift including weekends.
o Required to wear hard hat, safety glasses, steel toed boots, safety lamp, hearing protection, self rescuer, gloves and respirator. IES:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

o Age 18 or older
o Construction or equipment operation experience required
o Communication skills and good safety habits.
o Demonstrated ability to work with all departments.
o Lifting requirements up to 75 lbs at a frequency of 1/3 to 2/3 of a work day.
