Vice President, Global Manufacturing Operations
Global Fortune 100 organization (50B+) seeking key Vice Presidient for Multi-site manufacturing group contributing 450M in sales. Site responsibility would involve US, Mexico, China and Caribbean locations.
Ideal candidate will have a degree and 10-15 years of progressive global manufacturing expertise. The ability to manage a global compeitive workforce is paramount along with best practice initiatives such as Lean and Six Sigma. Background in medical device, pharmaceutical or the food industry is preferred but not mandatory. Direct the implementation of manufacturing strategy in multiple facilities in support of business objectives in the areas of earnings, cost, cash flow, quality, safety, service level, inventory, on-time delivery, environmental and staff development. Manages six Directors (Engineering, Materials, Singapore, Finance, Mexico/DR Mfg, Human Resources) and two Plant Managers. Direct the plants in achievement of variance and earnings targets. Direct the plants in the achievement of cash flow objectives (i.e. inventory levels, capital spending). Direct the management of capital assets to ensure proper capacity availability in support of business needs. Lead and participate on cross-functional teams to drive implementation of manufacturing and sales/marketing, quality and safety initiatives. Direct the implementation manufacturing initiatives, as appropriate. Responsible for abiding by all company regulatory, EH&S requirements. Experience in union and non-union local & international ops is preferred.
Current corporate initiatives involve leveling global responsiveness and levearaging resources to respond to changing customer and business demands.
This senior level role will require leadership and business acumen, strong communication skills, global mindset and cross cultural sensitivity. There is strong opportunity to grow in this role.
