Warehouse Staff (NE) - (JT10656)

Summary: Receives, stores, tracks and distributes material, tools, and equipment usually within a single location by performing the following duties.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

o Reviews bills of lading for incoming merchandise and Technician orders in order to plan work activities.
o Verifies incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise, and keeping of warehouse inventory.
o Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Marks materials with identifying information.
o Review Technician schedules to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Fills requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to Technicians. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
o Uses computer to enter records.
o Completes requisition forms to order.

Education and Experience Requirements:

o High school graduate or equivalent
o 6+ months of performing in a highly physical type work environment
o Basic electronics training and / or mechanical capability
o Good reading, writing and basic arithmetic skills
o Ability to communicate effectively with a non-confrontational and courteous style of communication
o Must be able to lift, carry and handle materials that weigh up to 90 lbs.
o Negative pre-employment drug test and clear criminal background search
o Valid driver's license and good driving record
