Warehouse Supervisor-St. Louis

Cott Beverages, North America the world's leading supplier of retailer brand carbonated soft drinks, with beverage manufacturing facilities in Canada, the US, the UK and Mexico has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Supervisor Manager at our St. Louis, Missouri plant.

 

Job Purpose:

 

Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, shipping and receiving area and ensuring that customer needs are met through the timely and efficient movement of products and materials in a high volume, fast paced distribution environment.

 

Primary duties:

 

? Direct and coordinate the activities of a union workforce on 3rd shift.

 

? Partner with relevant supervisors to resolve stock issues and key performance indicators such as accuracy, performance, output and efficiency

 

? Personnel responsibilities to include hiring, training, scheduling, supervising, and evaluation of all warehouse personnel, coordination of training activities, developing a team atmosphere, and monitoring all employees through performance appraisals, coaching, and discipline

 

? Plan and execute logistics needs with customers & trucking firms to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of shipments, while minimizing overall freight costs

 

? Responsible for the security of the product and warehouse

 

? Implementing policies, procedures and SOP?s to ensure consistent quality and operating efficiency

 

? Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other safety regulatory agencies, as well as maintaining the material handling equipment, ensuring that all warehouse personnel are certified on equipment

Skills/Qualifications:

? Bachelor?s degree - preferred, or a combination of college and experience

? 5-7 years of Warehouse Supervision and/or Service & Logistics experience

? Ability to lead a warehouse team consisting of leads, planners, shipping clerk and 8-10 forklift operators on a 7x24 hour operation. 

? Experience in maintaining warehouse equipment such as; forklifts, ramps, doors, racks, etc

? WMS experience with AS400, BPCS, ADC and other applicable warehouse inventory systems

? Ability to interact, influence and obtain cooperation from multiple departments.
