Waste Treatment Specialists

Triumph Fabrications is a growing aerospace manufacturer of sheet metal detail parts and assemblies for both military and commercial aircraft.

 

We are currently seeking 2 qualified Waste Treatment Specialists with experience in air and industrial metals waste water treatment systems for our Hot Springs, Arkansas facility. Qualified candidates must be licensed or able to become licensed in Arkansas.  An awareness of the importance of conformance with environmental policies and procedures and the requirements of the environmental management system, including the potential consequences of departure from specified operating procedures is essential.  Knowledge of actual or potential significant environmental impacts of the work activities associated with this position and the environmental benefits of improved personal performance is essential.  Qualified applicants must possess a high degree of professionalism and personal integrity coupled with a strong work ethic.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct handling of chemicals for waste treatment system and pollution control;
Make additions to tanks including buildups and maintains chemical supply to chemical feed pumps;
Ensure proper functioning of the waste water treatment system by maintaining proper pH levels in process tanks to maintain compliance to all environmental regulations;
Make necessary tests, maintains records and controls pollution control equipment;
Check treatments before and during shift and when necessary during production to insure specified concentrations are in operating condition;
Insures metals are getting proper treatment;
Performs preventative maintenance work in waste treatment facilities;
Troubleshoots non-compliance issues;
Advises production supervisors if pretreatment or pollution control does not comply with specifications;
Responsible for personal safety and compliance with company safety rules including appropriate use of PPE;
Control tote inventories full or empty including shipment back to supplier.

 

 

Educations and Experience Requirements
Minimum High School diploma.  Prefer Associate degree in Waste Water or Environmental Management plus 2 years waste treatment experience;
Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of professional judgment and integrity;
Discipline to adhere to schedules and meet strict guidelines;
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to be part of a team;
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with and engage all levels of the organization;
Must have the ability to lift up to 40 pounds;
Ability to work in extreme heat conditions in a plant environment;
