WELDER
SUMMARY OF POSITION:Performs functions associated with direct labor manufacturing operations. Works from schedules, shop orders, established procedures, blueprints, specifications, written and/or verbal instructions of the supervisor. Operates hand and various power tools, both Mig and Tig welding equipment, along with more complex equipment and machines safely.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/TASK: -Manufacture standard stainless steel parts for stock-Manufacture special stainless steel parts as needed for orders.-Work closely with R&D in manufacturing parts for new products.-Cross-train in other areas within the manufacturing facility. -Perform other duties as may be assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:-Ability to do advanced shop math.-Ability to follow basic drawings and recognize symbols. -Ability to recognize and use hand and power tools.-Experience using Tig and Mig welding equipment on stainless steel.-Experience using plasma cutting equipment on stainless steel.-Experience using an Iron worker on stainless steel. -Basic computer skills.-Physical ability to perform work in a standing, stooping, sitting and bending position-2 to 3 years in a welding field.-AWS D 1.6 certification would be recommended.
