Welding Engineer
Responsible for all welding processes on the weekend shift for a large A/C compressor manufacturing facility in Natchitoches, Louisiana. The responsibilities will include: troubleshooting, training, verifying parameters and supervising two welding technicians and overseeing multiple welding set-up personnel. While the basic shift runs from Friday 6 am until Sunday 6 pm; there will be a need to spend a portion of each Thursday in the facility.
Must Haves: - Seven to ten years of experience with resistance and MIG welding in a high volume manufacturing environment
Good communication skills
Proven experience as a trouble shooter in solving welding problems
Willingness to work weekend shift
Like to Have: - A degree in Welding Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering
Potential to move at least one level higher in organization
Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
