Yield Engineer

Luminus Devices, Inc., a semiconductor manufacturer located in the I-95 corridor north of Boston, develops and manufactures innovative, high-powered, solid state lighting solutions for high-definition televisions and other display products.  We are a fast-growing, privately held company seeking individuals to join our engineering and manufacturing teams.

 

We are currently interviewing for a Yield Engineer. The Yield Engineer is a key individual who will drive yield improvement throughout the organization by taking ownership of all yield improvement tasks, working with the manufacturing, engineering and advanced technology groups to build teams that can solve complex yield issues. Candidate will develop yield improvement goals and tasks necessary to achieve said goals, assign individuals to lead specific tasks, track progress and schedule of tasks, lead yield improvement meetings, issue all yield reports, drive the SPC/control plan projects, work with suppliers to improve quality of incoming material, as well as work with internal quality department and motivate/mentor team members. Minimum of 5+ years experience with a  Masters Degree in a relevant technical field. Ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in the field of yield improvement in a high technology industry, experience in both front-end foundry and back-end assembly. Must be able to work effectively within a team environment and have excellent communication skills. Experience with the following a plus: working in a start-up environment, database experience and compound semiconductor background. No phones calls please.
