material handler/fork lift driver

Potential Temp to Hire Material Handler Position open immediately working with Kelly Services at Baxter Healthcare in Round Lake. This is a first shift position.  Receiving, locating and issue of raw materials as per SOP.  Locating, moving, pulling, packing and loading of frozen products.  Work in a frozen environment up to 5 hours a day and in temperature fluctuations between 105 and 40 degrees F.  Unload trucks.  Perform monthly cycle counts. Experience in use of Reach Trucks and Walkie Riders-operating in a narrow aisle environment.  Experience operating a stick shift.


Ability to work independently.  Good communication skills.  Good documentation skills.  Good interpersonal skills.  Able to operate safely all of the related equipment (box lifter, truck, matl handling equipment, truck driving, etc).  Able to interpret procedures.  Problem solving abilities.  Computer knowledge.  Mandatory overtime required.  Basic math skills.  Valid drivers license.  Frequent lifting up to 70 lbs and occasionally 100 lbs or greater.  Constant bending, twisting, reaching and grasping.  Frequent kneeling, squatting, and wrist turning.  Occasional crawling, climbing and pinching.  Must not be allergic to Penicillin or Cephalosporin Drugs.
