shop/field laborer

We are currently seeking a "Shop/Field Laborer" who would like to assist in fabricating and/or Installing miscellaneous Ornamental Iron work. Must have a desire to be a part of a growing 2nd generation family owned company and take pride in producing quality craftsmanship. Some experience is desired but not required for the right person with the ability to learn quickly.

 

Job description mainly includes: Maintaining general clean shop conditions, Machinery Cleaning, Material handling, Cutting, Punching, Drilling, Rolling, finish grinding and Painting of iron railing, fences and gates. Also from time to time duties would include assisting intallation trucks on job sites to install fabricated materials. Ability to read a tape measure and perform simple math is required in addition to working outside on job sites in all enviroments and elements.

 

Benefits include: 401k profit sharing plan, paid holidays and vacation, 50% paid "blue cross" medical and medication insurance, and all tools required will be furnished by the company.

 

Normal working hours are from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, M-F. Some overtime is required from time to time depending on work volume and job deadlines. Overtime is usually only 1 hour extra per day, M-Th and occasionally 4-8 hrs. on a Saturday. Starting rate of pay is based on experience level and increased based on performance. Payroll checks are distributed weekly at 4:00 pm on Fridays.
