Old Dutch Foods is currently seeking a second shift warehouse supervisor. This person is responsible for directing 15 to 20  warehouse employees in the receiving, storage, picking, and shipping of our products.

 

A person in this position also will participate in related warehouse management activities including the following:

 Participate in the interview and selection process for new employees.Participate in training and performance evaluation for warehouse employeesResolving day to day operating problems.Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.Effectively communicate with other managers and departments to resolve problems.Participate in the procurement planning process for our products to back up other warehouse management members.Cycle counts of our facility.

Qualifications

 Previous supervisory experience in a union environment is preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Strong organizational skills.Ability to work a Tuesday to Saturday schedule.Experience with cycle counting a large warehouse.Experience with tractor-trailer operations (CDL not required).Proficiency with Microsoft Office.Conscientious and methodical approach to work. Ability to see a task through to its completion.Excellent conflict resolution, problem solving, and analytical skills.Exposure to JD Edwards, Peoplesoft, or Oracle a plus.
