Project Manager for Navy Contract

This candidate will be the project lead for a software subproject on a major Naval Program, supporting a Program Office, which will require coordination of remote resources and other subprojects.  . 

 

A minimum of ten years (out of the last twenty years) experience in information systems/software systems.  A Master?s degree(s) may be substituted for a maximum of two years of information systems/software systems experience.



A minimum of 3 years of Navy support experience.

 

A minimum of 1 year of specific experience in Naval Aviation Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE), Aviation Data Management and Control System (ADMACS) and Support Equipment (SE), which demonstrates the ability to perform independent work to provide Program Management support, analysis, studies, evaluations and recommendations in support of Naval Aviation ALRE, ADMACS and SE systems.

 

Experience performing information systems/software/engineering project support for Naval Aviation - ALRE, ADMACS and SE is preferred.  The candidate will propose innovative new and improved solutions through practical application of state-of-the-art technologies.

 

Required Skills:Demonstrated leadershipSoftware development experience.Business Analysis Technical writing, Excellent oral and written communication skills critical to this positionOther required skills include planning, organizing, decision-making, problem-solving initiative skills, and previous experience in providing Project Management, Business analysis and quality assurance services.

 

Bachelors degree in Information Systems or Software or Software Engineering from an accredited college or university required and advanced desired.

 

Job Description:

 

The candidate will support the NAVAIR (NAWCAD) Program Management Competency for the identification, definition & development of future Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE), Aviation Data Management and Control System (ADMACS) and Support Equipment (SE) System Initiatives for Naval Aviation. Responsibilities in this position include:

 Prepare advanced concept development program requirements (cost, schedule, performance) for Naval Aviation initiatives regarding ALRE, ADMACS and SE systems.

 Prepare future program architectural approaches for the advanced concept developments for ALRE, ADMACS and SE systems.

 Provide Program Management support to various ALRE, ADMACS and SE Program Managers for identification, definition & implementation of Future ALRE, ADMACS and SE Program initiatives.

 Provide Programmatic Information Technology concepts, ideas & support for Future ALRE, ADMACS and SE programs and processes along with improvement insertion into current ALRE, ADMACS & SE systems.

 Provide new creative Ideas for Future ALRE, ADMACS and SE initiatives focusing on potential benefits to Naval Aviation in terms of efficiency (e.g. reducing operational costs & manning) and enhancing effectiveness for the war fighter.

 Facilitate/manage/chair cross-competency team ?Future Aviation Concepts Team? (FACTS) to brainstorm, define and refine new concepts for Future ALRE, ADMACS and SE initiatives.

 Prepare and brief (annually) the NAVAIR Lakehurst Program Management Team on Future ALRE, ADMACS and SE initiatives.
