Senior Military Analyst (5102)

**US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED***MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE SECRET LEVEL SECURITY CLEARANCE***POSITION IS LOCATED AT THE PENTAGON,WASHINGTON,D.C.***

Supports MST with regard to Defense Readiness Reporting System. Responsible for the day-to-day contact with Government professionals involved in measuring readiness of US forces. Understands government needs for METL development and translates those needs into software and hardware requirements for DRC software development. Responsible to organize, direct and coordinate the planning and production of contract support activities. Responsible for oral and written communication with government representatives.
Technical responsibilities include support to studies and analysis of subjects, including but not limited to: defense readiness reporting and military concepts. Must examine joint and Service doctrine and tactics, techniques and procedures; military organization and force structures; Joint and Service acquisition analysis; scenario development; and experimentation. Provide general and specialized military expertise, including but not limited to the following areas: military functional areas and/or battlefield operating systems; command, control, and communications; information, surveillance, and reconnaissance; Joint concepts and operations; existing and emerging threats; operational environment; and the concept of Mission Essential Tasks (METs), to include an understanding of tasks, conditions and measures (and standards).
Provide additional expertise in the area of METs and Task Library development in support of the US Coast Guard and Department of Homeland Security. Provide subject matter expert (SME) in the area of aviation.
In general, prepare and present briefings, as required, prepare technical reports and provide required documentation. Engage in coordination and preparation for meetings and workshops; assessment of military capabilities; and data research and development.

Master's degree in operations research, engineering, or a related field. 24 credit hours in operations research, mathematics, statistics, logic, decision analysis, and subject matter courses that require substantial competence in mathematics or statistics a plus.

Experience Required:Minimum ten years work experience in operations research or engineering with at least seven of those years in project/study management. Experience in the joint arena mandatory.
