POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: After School Program Manager Department Education
Reports To: F.Y.I. Director Status: Full Time
Project Description:
The Norris Square After-school Programs, operated by NSCA in collaboration with Hunter and McKinley Schools is designed to enable the Norris Square Civic Association Square community to increase the academic success of neighborhood children as a precursor to a lifetime that is productive, satisfying and community oriented.
General Position Responsibilities:
The After-School Manager (K-8) is responsible for the coordination, management, and oversight of all the Norris Square After-School Programs.
Interview referred candidates and recommend finalist to Board
Perform liaison duties such as meetings with all stakeholders ( school district staff, funders, other agencies, city and state representatives)
Verify and sign all ASAP staff time sheets
Apply for various (new and continual) funding to enhance the ASAP programs
Directly supervise ASAP Coordinators and Administrative Assistant
Coordinate programs activities and budgets in order to satisfy contractual obligations
Provide Director with monthly reports
Participate in trainings, conferences, and other seminars as deemed necessary.
Position Requirements/ Qualifications:
Bilingual and bicultural in English and Spanish (preferred);
Bachelor?s Degree
Demonstrated experience in supervision of staff;
Familiarity with databases and ability to manipulate data for report purposes;
Demonstrated commitment to ASAP
Demonstrated experience and comfort working with adults and children
