Development Associate

Under the supervision of the Director of Development and Development Coordinator, candidate is responsible for administrative support services for the diocesan fundraising efforts.  Raiser's Edge 7 experience is MANDATORY to be considered for this position. 

 

Duties include:Provide Raiser's Edge support, including maintenance of donor records/files, assist in clean-up of database, gift entry of stocks, matching gifts, soft-credits, generation of reports from database, prepare acknowledgements, provide backup support for Raiser's Edge data entry including gifts,biographical info, special event tracking, income/expenses, notes, actions, attributes and other info as required.  Assist in all facets of donor cultivation including research of individuals, corporations and foundations for development purposes.  Maintain accurate listing of available constituent ID numbers by parish.  Provide stock transfer instructions to parishioners and portfolio managers.  Accurately track gifts of securities and maintain accurate records of anticipated stock transfers.  Provide detailed administrative support to the Director and Coordinator, including correspondence, copying, distributing, emailing, faxing, filing, archiving, processing incoming and outgoing mail, phones, greeting visitors and other support as required. Assist in and act as liaison with printers for preparation of materials for parishes and donors, including transporting items to site/program.Other tasks, responsibilities and duties as requested and as needed. 

 

Education:Some college preferred. 

 

Qualifications:MANDATORY minimum 2 years Raiser's Edge 7 experience.  Minimum 2 years administrative support experience preferably in a Development or Foundation environment.  Proficient in MS Office:  Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point; Adobe Photoshop; Internet Explorer.  Ability to multi task, work independently, make responsible judgment calls, interface with employees, department heads, representatives of outside agencies and the general public.  Available to work occasional evenings or weekends as required.  Knowledge of Catholic faith preferred.
