Development Director, Heart Walk

 

Come Join Us in Helping to Save Lives.  The Heart Walk is a grassroots, corporate based event that brings together thousands of people from across the Upstate Market to raise funds to support the American Heart Association initiatives.  Serving as a field account manager for key accounts, you will ensure that a plan exists for recruiting team captains and walkers to meet specific company goals.  You will be responsible for developing and cultivating relationships within existing accounts and in identifying and securing prospect companies with a strong focus on the area?s top employers. You will work closely with key leadership volunteers to accomplish goals. 

 

Specific responsibilities include:

 

* Conduct sales calls to generate new business and manage existing companies.

* Goal set with corporate companies and individuals to raise money.

* Work with volunteers to achieve goals within company accounts and as part of event leadership.

* Develop effective working relationships with volunteers, sponsors & key corporate & community leaders.

* Recruit, manage and motivate volunteers to recruit walkers and raise money.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications include:

 

* BA degree or equivalent experience in sales, grassroots marketing, or fundraising.

* Results driven with the ability to multitask.

* Strong computer and organizational skills.

* Highly skilled and effective in oral and written communications. 

* Ability to travel in assigned territory and work flexible hours.  You should enjoy being in the field!
