Director, American Heart Walk

Help us save lives!! The American Heart Association is seeking a highly motivated, organized and experienced individual to plan and execute a major fund-raising event in Vancouver, Wa.  This individual is responsible for conducting sales calls, goal setting with companies, planning special events, working with volunteers and building relationships in  the community.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

* Conduct sales calls to generate new business and manage existing companies.

* Prospect and conduct sales calls to secure corporate sponsorships.

* Goal set with corporate companies and individuals to raise money.

* Manage volunteer committees to assist with event logistics.

* Develop effective working relationships with volunteers, sponsors & key corporate & community leaders.

* Recruit, manage and motivate volunteers to recruit walkers and raise money.

* Manage logistics, account datbases and budgets.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications include:

* BA degree or equivalent experience in sales, fund raising and/or marketing.

* 2-3 years related experience in sales, fund raising and/or marketing.

* Strong computer and organizational skills.

* Highly skilled and effective in oral and written communications.

* Ability to travel in assigned territory and work flexible hours.
