Location: Pasco County (New Port Richey, Port Richey, Hudson, Dade City, Zephyrhills, Land O Lakes).

 

Title: Director, Partnership Development & Recruitment

 

Hours: 32 hrs per week.  Occasional evenings & weekends.

 

Position Description:

The Director, Partnership Development & Recruitment is responsible for bringing a steady stream of new volunteers into the agency for all programs, consistent with the goals of the Strategic Plan. 

Primary responsibilities include:

? Establishing written recruitment plans for the geographic area assigned

? Identifying and securing support from potential mentor rich organizations (including cold calling)

? Participating in community fairs and other speaking engagements

? Working closely with Customer Service Representatives to respond to inquiries from potential volunteers

? Facilitating volunteer orientation and training, if required

Essential Functions include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

? Work with the Vice President of Community Relations to meet individual goals in support of agency-wide recruitment goals consistent with the strategic plan.

? All customer and stakeholder contacts are marked by an atmosphere that is positive and outgoing relevant to the Big Brothers Big Sisters Brand.

? Collaborate with other service delivery staff to ensure smooth transition among functions.

? Identify potential ?mentor-rich? partners to recruit volunteer mentors. Work with corporate liaisons of mentor rich organizations to schedule presentations and/or on-site orientation/training sessions.

? Participate in agency fairs, community fairs, business expos, trade shows and other events, to recruit volunteer mentors for the organization. 

? Respond to local media inquiries as requested by the Vice President of Community Relations and/or the CEO.

? Publicize and conduct volunteer orientation and training sessions.

? Work cooperatively with Customer Relations Specialist to respond to volunteer inquiries and gather necessary data for background screening and reference checks.

? Work with all staff to complete presentations for United Way campaigns and other community events/organizations.

? Attend community meetings as directed, including but not limited to Chamber events, United Way functions, leadership development programs, and networking sessions.

? Attend agency meetings, including but not limited to staff meetings, individual supervision, trainings and general staff meetings

? Seek training/educational opportunities to expand knowledge pertinent to position.

? Assist in fundraising events.

 

Position Requirements:

? 2 year degree

? Self starter that focuses more on results rather than "trying hard"

? Minimum of two years of public speaking required

? Volunteer recruitment, Corporate recruiting or fundraising experience

? Customer focused, "can do" attitude

? Excellent communication skills both written and oral

? Strong organizational, process and planning skills

? Ability to effectively interact with diverse and multicultural groups of people

? Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver license.  Must travel to local communities and neighborhoods.

? Drug screen and Criminal background investigation required at time of hire.

 

Preferred Requirements:

? Pasco County resident or strong familiarity with Pasco County desired

? Prior cold calling experience preferred but not required

? Prior experience in non-profit environment preferred but not required
